Time in Ashan passes a little differently than what you may be used to. Seconds, minutes, hours, days. These concepts remain the same.
However, in one week there is only six days. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday. This may be easy for you to remember, but keep in mind that Ashan does not have a Sunday in the week.
In a month, there is five weeks which equals thirty days. Twelve months in a year, and the same names you may be used to. JANUARY, FEBRUARY, MARCH, APRIL, MAY, JUNE, JULY, AUGUST, SEPTEMBER, OCTOBER, NOVEMBER, DECEMBER.
This is where the similarities stop.
The next time frame we have is called KORNA (koh-r-n-ah). In a korna, we have twelve and a half years. There are four korna named HIGH, BIGH, RIGH, NIGH.
Next, we have MALLAN (mah-yahn). There are two periods of fifty years, named TOR and LOR.
After mallan, we have SSORA (show-rah). There are ten periods of ssora, simply named 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10. Each ssora is one hundred years.
The last length of time is called SSALLA (shah-yah). These are periods of one thousand years. The current ssora within this ssalla is named LLO. The names of ssalla is currently either two or three letters, and go in alphabetical order. The recent ssalla are AO, BO, CO, DO, EHO, FO, GO, HO, IBO, JO, KO, LO, LLO.

MALLAN – 50 year period (TOR and LOR)
KORNA – 12.5 years (HIGH, BIGH, RIGH, NIGH)

MONTH – 5 weeks (JANUARY, FEBRUARY, MARCH, APRIL, MAY, JUNE, JULY, AUGUST, SEPTEMBER, OCTOBER, NOVEMBER, DECEMBER)
WEEK – 6 days (MONDAY, TUESDAY, WEDNESDAY, THURSDAY, FRIDAY, SATURDAY)
